Kristi Beeler

Kristi is the owner and instructor of Kristina's Studio of Dance. She has been teaching dance for 43 years and opened the studio when she was 16 years old. This season will be the 41st dance season for Kristina's Studio of Dance.  Kristina  has been on staff and taught classes for the Tony Deel Summer Dance Camps, Tony Deel's Fall Festival, and NADAA (National Assoc. of Dance Artists Aff.) She has also taught for the Elks Lodge, Texas Instruments, and the City of Sherman.      Kristina has been a member of the Dallas Dance Council, and is listed in a book featuring achievements of Young Women in the USA.

She has been on faculty of the Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and Grayson County College.  She has judged numerous beauty pageants, and has traveled across the US with multiple dance competition circuits.  She was honored with judging the Texas finals for Dance Masters of America (DMA) held in Houston, and the DMA scholarship auditions.

Her choreography credits include Sherman HS Drama & Choir departments productions of Oklahoma and Annie Get Your Gun, Grayson County College Show Choir & Drama departments production of Little Mary Sunshine.  Ms. Kristi has been recognized in recent competitions with Outstanding Teacher awards, Technical Excellence awards, and Outstanding Choreography awards.  She has been recognized with Showmanship awards as well as Outstanding Costume awards.

Her dancers are asked to perform shows all over North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.  Her students have received numerous scholarships in dance to continue their dance education.  Former students have also been chosen to perform on Broadway in NYC, and with touring Broadway shows, Six Flags Over Texas, the World Famous Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the Dallas Mavericks, the Apache Belles Drill Team of Tyler Junior College,  various other college dance teams, "Texas" at Palo Duro Canyon, cruise ships performances, and with the Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City.  Several former students have become dance educators, with many owning their own dance studios.

Ms. Kristi trained with such dance legends as Debbie Dee, Luigi, Al Gilbert, Daryll Retter, Patsy Swayze, Buster Cooper, Frank Hatchett, and many other world renowned educators across America.


Haley Brown

Haley began dancing at the age of three at Kristina's Studio of Dance.  She graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Education. She has been teaching dance at
Kristina's for 13 years in the areas of jazz, tap, ballet, clogging, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and technique. Haley is a 2nd grade teacher in Gainesville, TX. She is happily married to Tim Brown and they are blessed with a wonderful son, Carter and daughter, Kenzie.

Haley joined the staff of Kristina's in 2003.  She genuinely loves teaching children and enjoys sharing her love of dance with them and watching them grow. She currently teaches combination and some competition classes.





Jennifer Halliburton McCarthy

  Jennifer started dance at Kristina’s at the age of 3, dancing for 15 years.  She has experience in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, pointe, and clogging.  She has danced in many places including LA, on a dance scholarship awarded by the National Tap Dance Day Foundation and clogged at the Grande Ole Opry.  She has earned many national titles and was awarded “Entertainer of the Year” at Grapevine Opry three consecutive years before being inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Now, Jennifer holds a BA  degree in English from Texas A & M-Commerce and teaches English at Piner Middle School in Sherman.  Jennifer started teaching dance at the studio as a student assistant and returned in 2012 teaching tap, jazz, and ballet.  This year she will also be teaching clogging at the studio. She is married to Josh McCarthy and has two daughters, Rachel and Taylor. She also has a son named Jacob. 

Janet Schenk

Janet Schenk has been studying dance since the age of 7. She has been tested through 3 grades of Cecchetti Ballet and has been tested and certified to teach Ballet, Tap and Jazz through Dance Masters of America.
Janet danced with the Junior Civic Ballet and the Tulsa Ballet Theater growing up in Tulsa and went on to be the demonstrator for her teacher at local and national dance conventions.
After marrying and starting a family Janet decided to open a dance studio in the Keller, Texas area. During that time she taught at the studio, dance conventions, and choreographed for her performing teams and competition teams. Under her direction, the studio competition teams received many coveted awards at regional and national competitions. She has worked with local Drill Teams for master classes and technique classes for team members to help their team achieve a higher performance level and safer technique for team members who were not experienced dancers.
Janet has served as judge for college dance teams tryouts as well as studio competition tryouts.
Her students have been recognized at Steps and Broadway Dance Center during yearly dance study trips to New York. They have been asked to demonstrate for guest teachers at dance conventions in the Dallas area.
Janet’s love of dance is brought out in her classes and in her interactions with students. She loves to give the students a challenging class while helping them find and develop their talent.
After owning her studio for 27 years and participating in her 50th recital, she sold her studio to enjoy family and semi-retirement.

Anthony Mckinney

Anthony is from Denison, Tx. He has been doing hip hop since he was a small child. His formal training is from  KSD, where he took classes,  and was on the competition team for 5 years. He has choreographed many routines for pep-rallies, talent shows and benefit shows. He holds many regional and national titles, and his hip hop choreography has won numerous awards. He has been teaching at the studio both as a teachers assistant for tap, jazz and ballet classes, and he is the instructor for all of the hip hop classes. Anthony is attending Grayson County College where he is working on his basics.  He is very excited to be teaching and loves to share his passion for dance with the students.
